> That ringing in your ears that never seems to go away. You never really notice it until the quiet of the night settles in. Somehow the sound is crystilline. If you close your eyes and think about it, the sound is sharp, shiny, it's goes with the pinpricks of light behind your eyes.

Maybe there's a monster lurking in the corner of your room, the ringing in your ear is a sign of anticipation. You're waiting for something to jump out from the shadows. The darkness only amplifies the high pitch encompassing your brain. The screeching is building, getting louder and louder the longer you sit in silence. You surrender to the darkness behind your eyes and let the internal screeching of your ears wash over you. The monster settles in next to you ....
